But, looking at this from 2 different perspectives, if you think incest with step-siblings is morally wrong, it's probably because sex with siblings is a bit mentally degrading, regardless if they are step-siblings or not, since after you probably think, "God, did I really just do that?". Depending on your point of view of the situation, it could really harm your mental health. On the other side of the same coin, people who think it isn't morally wrong are thinking, "Well, since we aren't blood related, it shouldn't be a problem.". Since protection isn't really important, you could have raw sex and produce a child just fine, so there isn't any problems with that. The only problem now is mentally, which, if you don't give a shit about moral standards, or you just have a mindset that encompasses "Not blood related, not a problem.", then you don't have to worry about how it could impact you in the long run. Honestly I do not have a set and stone opinion about this, so I might not be the best to answer this.
I don't think the guilt would be so debilitating as to prevent the partakers from leading happy lives after the act. Also, people would only think that way because incest is seen as wrong currently.
