So how come you had to fight him was he being violent? Honestly this doesn't make much sense why would this lead to a fight and you had to punch him but he was telling the truth so you didn't really have to fight instead just talk it over next time and understand what he is saying and reassure him before you decide you need to fight and punch him

stopping a fight can be very beneficial and maybe you can have sex with his family just in case ;)
