I went out my way to check the stats on the community servers for it, seems most are using the US/Jap clients. Only 7 people were using the 50hz PAL release.

TBH I wasn't much of a fan of the online cos Nintendo, but the local multiplayer worked surprisingly well

After 7 years I can easily say for the majority of the community we expect more clarity, communication and have clear standards of why this TbN is launching the way it is.

Communication has never been the dev team's thing, and the staff that do talk generally don't have access to proper info and are in no position to announce or promise stuff that isn't going to happen

I'll agree that dev has dragged, no one was planning on it taking this long. Shit happens, real life situations change & it all has a knock on effect

However the rest is entirely normal for game development - including niche indie stuff

Companies aren't there to be your friend, they have bills to pay, wages etc. That means the game needs to make money, which wont happen if everyone has everything already

Do people get irritated at other games that don't carry over their stuff? Far bigger companies do releases yearly, and nothing carries over - in some cases making you pay for DLC that you technically already own from a previous game

You need the mindset that TBN is NOT TB, it's not a new version - it's an entirely different game. It stands to reason you'd start fresh

Your TB items, progress & TC are all still going to work in TB as they always did

If you decide you don't like TBN then you're free to stay on the older game
