And I still think this way of looking at things is just... maybe naive? I don't think there's any real problem. Not every game can be minecraft or LoL. Games get old and die (and that doesn't have to be a bad thing or a problem). You can pump as many hours and dollars into promoting it as you'd like, but the people whose primary incomes come directly from the game aren't invested in the same way, for good reason. There is no current strategy because their goal isn't to revive the game.
It's not naive, but perhaps a little optimistic considering the people running the show have no interest in its development, but if they wanted to, it wouldn't be too difficult to x3 the game's population.
