Ability to change the name of the mod (to another unused name).

Example:
Player Xyz updates his BlueSaloon.tbm mod and names it BlueSaloon_WIP2.tbm
Then he does it again, and again, and again...
...until he finally releases version 28 and decides that the mod doesn't need any more fixes and is ready to use.
So he renames the first mod (BlueSaloon.tbm) to something else to free up the name and then renames the mod BlueSaloon_WIP28.tbm to BlueSaloon.tbm

Second and probably better solution:
An alternative solution would be to simply add the ability for players to update their own mods.

Regardless of the solution implemented, it would be worth adding an additional option, Mod Removal.
