The Strait of Hormuz is international waters for commerce. No country owns the water ways as it is recognized as, and let me reiterate this,

Also, if you look further into history. The land of Palestine was actually a lot bigger than what you may think. It included, the current country of Palestine, Israel, and guess who else? Jordan.
