What country are you playing from? Anecdotal, but I've heard some Russian users are having issues playing

Some Googling suggests these fixes:

• Check the app's permissions on your iPad; is it allowed to write data?
• Disable any parental controls or restrictions on your device that might stop Toribash from writing data
• Check for app updates
• Try using a VPN or a different network. This issue has been caused by Toribash's firewall in the past
• If it's possible on iPad, reinstall the app in a different folder
