sorry for the necro, I found this thread when I was stalking profiles anyway I feel like that's a myth, I'd guess it's the alcohol that your skin doesn't like because it can be pretty drying there are some fragrances that have no alcohol and instead use oil as the base. alternatively you could spray it on your clothes instead of straight onto your skin, it still works just the same (in fact it can last longer on clothes iirc, not sure though)
