Yes, it is estimated that from its inception, until somewhere around 2002, that 85% of the internet was used for low quality pictures of random naked women, the other 15% being used for E-bay, sexual predators, and pornographic WAV files of fat woman making sex noises.
A recent study shows that the internet of today breaks down like this...see pie chart.
Notice that low quality pictures of naked chicks are still the predominant use of the internets...
