EDIT: the "uname -a" reads "XXXX XXXX GNU/Linux", so it's not RedHat.
EDIT2: The kernel version 2.6.18-4-k7 suggests it's something Debianish, so it's probably a case of "too much fun with escape sequences".

Complain to Feitingen about the garish CLI, he's the one who made the .bash_profile.. the one i use on our other server is even worse
