I still can't see how it would help us travel faster than light, though. We aren't a bunch of photons.
Maybe I should clarify: This article isn't about the concept of humans travelling through time. This is limited to photons. The fact that a better conductor exists for light other than a vacuum. It's interesting because now this opens the door to new ideas about other possible conductors to test.
Also, you can choose to speculate what truly happened with the light.
