I think just about anything can be a suicide in a broad sense, they all just have different rates of success and time they require to work. Drinking continually in hopes of eventually getting kidney failure can be considered suicide, just like blowing your brains out with a shotgun. Those 2 methods just have different rates of success and times it takes to accomplish them.
Drinking heavily over and over again with the intent of killing yourself, yes I would say that's suicide.
Signing in up in the military to with specific purpose of being killed in battle, yes I would say that's suicide.
Eating junk food as much as possible to die of a heart attack, yes I would say that's suicide.
But simply joining the army, drinking heavily, eating junk food, or smoking, without the intent of killing yourself isn't. That was the point I was trying to get at.
