If u are askimg how the retreat works then:
Retreat works by pre-set option:
Backward if u can, if u can't; back-down, if u also can't go there, back-up (look the diagram in rule book).
You can't retreat if:
- Territory isn't the color of your army
- There is other general of your army already there (rule book: two generals can't stand in same hex at once)
- No spaces behind you to retreat
In that case u are destroyed.

But if u are asking can u ''run away'' when someone attacks u. No.

But maybe u are right, lenshu has lower dismember threshold so that can increase decaps. I can add some prize for a clan with most decaps.
