The problem with this is two things really, supporting both ends of the sides.
Problem Number One, now there isn't a bank to hold tourney, betting, and other prizes for events hosted by a clan.
Problem Number Two, how would this work with holding items and I believe it might be abused if added into the system.
All in all, the old way is better in ways and this new way is also better in other ways. I'm still towards the old way with clan banks.
I agree with you. Items are not supported (yet, anyway). Toribank is not meant as a replacement for having a bank-character, but more as a predecessor to such a replacement. I have one opinion contrary to yours, though: I do not consider a bank-character "safe" as there are way too many potential pitfalls with sharing an account with others, as can be seen in
