IRC Tutorial writing contest
OK, lately i've gotten alot of questions ingame about "wut? there's a toribash IRC?"
So i've decided to get a tutorial up and sticky.. however, i'm too lazy to write one myself, therefor i'm awarding 100k TC (that be hundred thousand for those who are unfamiliar with the kilo-suffix).

Since i'm aiming to let the players not just be able to connect to IRC, but also understand and use IRC on a level that the regulars already do, i want the tutorial to include the following:

Explaination of important IRC concepts (channel mode, ops, bans, kicks, IRC opers, glines, hostmasks, etc)
Explaination of important IRC commands ( /join, /leave, /quit, /nick etc)
Basic IRC etiquette
Setting up an IRC client for use (this part has to include howto for atleast 1 client for mac, 1 for linux, as well as 2 for windows. These clients can not be a web-based IRC client, but including a web based IRC client in addition to these is encouraged, as long as it is one of those clients that gives the user his own hostmask, rather than the hostmask of the web-client).
Basicly, i don't want tutorials telling people how to install mIRC, and get on IRC. I want tutorials that recommends misc clients for their platform, as well as a tutorial that teaches the users how to actually use IRC at the level most of us seasoned IRC users.

Any submissions are to be written in a text-file (.txt), with toribash-forum formatting (Use a post preview to see your result while editing, without actually posting it.)
Once you're satisfied, mail it to jarmund@gmail.com, with the title "irc tutorial", and include in the mail your forum nick (and IRC nick if it's different). Any submissions that fails to follow these simple standards will not be a part of the contest, since they'd probably be sorted into the wrong mail (i receive a crapload of mail every day, and i have 239487 filters to handle them for me).

The deadline is midnight 23:59, friday the 25th of July, Norway time.
Any questions about the contest, post them here, and NOT send them via mail.

TLDR: Write a good IRC tutorial, receive 100k

Happy writing.

UPDATE: Yep, the contest is over. And yes i know it's half a week since deadline, i've just been busy. I will post the winner once i get time to do so.
