Intel graphics + 64bit Windows = crappy/broken drivers.
Think yourself lucky, if you were using newer ones it'd crash instead of just slowing down.

Older drivers work better than the newer ones, just don't expect miracles - they seem to have no intention of fixing them (even though their 32bit drivers work perfectly).
