Ah I see what you mean.
So would I go about doing that by making the brown slightly transparent (colourify to alpha im guessing?) then putting a rock texture on the layer below?
With painting over, is that just to highlight the darker bits or to completely replace the rocky texture?

EDIT: Ninja'd by Bendy

Hmmmm, I can definitely see what you mean, although unsure how I would go about it.
Airbrushing would be my first guess?

yeah, I started to notice that once I'd started... :c
Once it's all done in terms of knowing where all my light is, I'll add in the colours, most definitely

perhaps lower the opacity on them a little, can [pop those orange highlights i mentioned behind the whitish highlights], the colours will pop nicely with that lower opacity.

Can see where you're coming from there - I'd put that down to the fact I've got no idea what I'm doing.
I'll see what I can do with the eraser on some of the other fragments :P
Not 100% sure what you meant by the bracketed bit

I really wanted to have a protruding mouth but as I continued it just seemed to blend in...
I'll try giving it a once over, making it lighter. o7

That was my exact thinking, but then I had some ideas about how to spice it up.
I was thinking more along the lines of having it, for lack of a better term, like a Volcano Demon.
With joints, I'll be able to kinda fade out the rock fragments and have the arms as lava or fire with rock fists.
It's hard to explain, I can try and do a sketch of it tomorrow perhaps.

not sure if thats what you'd planned for it, seeing as just the face has been completed

Yeah, that was the plan :P

Cheers for the fast response and tips guys, I really appreciate it

Yeah, I only don't like erthtkv2 because of the mod's name. Make it "tkv2," and the mod will instantly become more popular. This is a valid reason as the name of the mod is still an important feature that no one seems to have yet discussed.
