You go to the thread by clicking on the appropriate links. Then you use your keyboard... that's right, the little thing with buttons to type. And you type a little bit about yourself and anything else you want people to know about you for why they should let you join them. Then you move the cursor and click the Submit button. Voila! You've just applied!
