So I'm trying to determine whether these two images are made from the same 'original' piece.

Original:

Pixelated version: Resized version of original

Any ideas on why one version has a lower pixel count than the other? Also, is there a way to see if they are in fact the same image? For example, lowering the quality of the "resized version of the original"?
