His real name was Rolihlahla Mandela. I really love what was one of his first sentence when he get out jail :

"I knew perfectly well that the oppressor must be liberated just as the underdog. A man who deprives another man's freedom is a prisoner of his hatred, he is locked behind the bars of his prejudices and narrow-mindedness. (...) When I walked through the doors of the prison, that was my mission: to liberate both the oppressed and the oppressor."
