we have 3 opposing teams, so shouldn't we be able to duel up to 60 other guys (if we duel other teams) or up to 78, if we duel in our team?
So are we allowed and should be fighting other #adPhones guys or no?

Yes, you are correct. You will be duelling a maximum of 60 players (Do not duel your own team pairs). The winner from each team is chosen by which pair won the most duels, etc.
Do not duel your own team.

If you lose 4 duels, you cannot do any further duels, but you can still win the event if you have the most wins in your team.
