Shook: its not about controlling less orthodox thoughts, its about controlling your ability to filter them from the outside. there is nothing kinder than contesting your own natural reactions for someone elses well being and respect

for that reason i dont consider someone racist unless those thoughts are turned into actions. i too look at people with different appearence in a different way but its just my reaction to their appearence being different and i dont consider myself racist. reactions are animal instinct, actions are exclusively human (and characterize us as such). while giving a different race person an odd look is a reaction, a human would be able to make the decision of not judging based on that. if you cant do that, you probably are only a man, not a human
