I do want them to get better and me saying "sorry that was alright but try again" all the time isnt going to push anyone to get better there is no motovation, I'd say more frustration in those words but I do trully want everyone to get better.Also that is no where near the line of being a dick because if it was I probably would have lost a friend but I do understand where you are coming from, and I do know where the line is becasue I don't like to make people mad and hate me.
