Perhaps I am the only one feeling this way, but I have been noticing that our society (American society, at least) is filled with desensitization ( a.k.a. we're becoming less human, so to say) and that good morals and values are pretty much out the window in a majority of people.

So, I make this thread because I want to hear what you all think, considering a good portion of you may have experiences or thoughts about how society is turning towards a really bad fate.

To share an experience with you that is pretty personal, I spent 17 months in a treatment program. It was a place where I didn't see any family for months and I was pretty much on my own changing my behaviors. I was a lot younger then and was really a delinquent. I don't know if I should go into detail more, but I changed a lot and now have the values that I believe most people should have.
