I would:

Make green and white switch places, i.e have white lines on green background.
Make the lines one solid color, without that gradient.
Place lines on the sides of the legs rather than the center, so as to resemble track pants.
Get rid of the eyes completely OR leave the eyes, but make the lines black instead of white.
