It was said jovially but he meant it in a non patronising way. (this is the same guy that didn't know my first name after sitting next to me for a year at school because he just used 'Proto' as a nickname).

I hope this thread doesn't descend into a load of shitty stories about my life. Sorry for my sentimentality.
