Its complicated and uses many symbols metaphers and hidden "tipps". Plus, the charackters are just humans and not some guys who behave like heros who have no (psychological problems). No Game no Life is awesome too, it has no predictable story and is really funny. Liked Fullmetal alchemist soo, very emotional. Sao was good too but the 2nd half sucked. Atm Nanatsu and Kiseiju are very good animes you could start with. Btw, I wouldn't consider pokemon as an anime ^-^
