Discussions on how to improve the clan are always important, and always welcome. Hawkes and you both think that the 'We probably won't accept you line' is too strong and that's a legit bit of constructive criticism. I'm thinking that we could replace it with the line Insane came up with - it still fits with our theme and it's more of a challenge - a call to action - rather than just plain discouragement. I'm all for changing that bit.

When I hit back on an idea, it's (usually) not because I'm trying to shut it down and get my way. I'm just trying to develop the idea further.

That said..

It sounds like the problem you have with it is that you think it's condescending. I don't think it's being condescending, I think it's an extension of what we were doing throughout the whole DSC - pompous/arrogant.

Like Hawkes said, it's discouraging, but I don't think condescending is a good word to apply to it.

It's pretty clear, just from the text, that we're just taking the piss out of ourselves.

Again, I think it's pretty clear that we're picky and exclusive - we said as much in the post several times, so I don't think we'd need to set up some min requirements or explain ourselves in a recruitment centre thread.

Everyone's here's been invited anyways, rather than posted an application. On the off-chance that a brilliant individual we haven't invited comes across our DSC and wants to join, it'd kind of be a prerequisite that they have the comprehension skills necessary to figure out what we're all about.

Again, not trying to shut down the discussion - I love these discussions, especially when they're about improving our clan.

And yeah Hawke, what rank?
