Oh, everyone,
important. Starting now, we're going to start doing those 20k tourneys. If anybody's ingame and is able/wants to host one, just contact one of the leaders and we'll send you the TC for it. If none of us are online/responding, then just use your TC and we'll reimburse once we're available.
I've included the tourney guides that Link and Daed have so kindly put together for us. I'll also put a link to this post in the first post for easy referral.

Well, it depends of the kind of tourney you want to set up. I will tell you some of these kinds including the way you can do it.
Ingame commands
Knockout Tourney
A knockout tourney is one of the most hosted ingame tourneys. This touney basically works like this: the winners keep in the queue as long they win and the losers are fspeced and cannot come back to the queue because lockdown is activated. Therefore you don't need to worry about people joining/lefting the tourney; you just have to pay attention when people ping, to put them back for their respective position. It's recommended that you take screenshots to know which position the player was at before he pinged.
In resume you must do this:
1 - Create the room you want to do the tourney in. (/join TLDRTourney). It's also interesting that you do /setowner [password] just in case you ping (do /owner [password] to reclaim the operator status back, after rejoining the room).
2 - Set motd and desc according to the situation of the tourney. For example: /desc TLDRTourney Soon! and /motd Whisper Ele if you have any questions!(you can even put colors on it to catch more attention from people)
3 - Choose a mod by typing /set mod [mod you want] and check if there are any error bugs or change the settings if you want to change any aspect of the mod such as gravity, dismemberthreshold, dq etc.
4 - Set a maximum number of players allowed to join the room, do /maxclients [max amount of players] - most of the tourneys have it set between 20 and 24 players.
5 - Next step is to send out a global broadcast so that everyone knows the tourney is happening and join the room. The global works best if it is short and direct to the point, with some kind of charismatic message.
6 - After enough people have joined the room (if not enough people have joined in some time, you can try globaling again, but that's unlikely to happen), you should mute everybody (/muteall) and explain the rules. This one is up to you, rules vary from tourney to tourney and are really up to the hoster's perspective. Default rules can be set as: no caps, no flaming, no marketing, no clan talk, no spamming, [insert something about betting here], etc.
Note: it's always nice to type some kind of "good luck"/"have fun" message so that people get more excited.
7 - After explaining all the rules, you should /unmuteall and wait for the current match to end. Right after that, you should immediately set /knockout on, that'll make the server locked down and people who lose will automaticaly be speced. That's when the tourney starts (/desc Tourney Started, or something along those lines).
The rest is basically maintaing and supervising the server, entertaining people and whatnot. There's not much else to say here.
After the tourney is over, you should immediately set /knockout off and send the prizes over to 1st and 2nd places (or 1st, 2nd and 3rd, your choice). It's also nice to change the room desc once again so that people become aware that the tourney is over.
Bet serves are basically the same thing. However, on this one, you should not set knockout on. You should also say something about nudges on the motd, etc.
First things first, make a room names something like "tldrtourney"
Change the /motd and /desc to: "Tourneysoon ^02Tourney^04soon
Set /maxclients to 27
Set /Setowner <pass> (in case you ping)
----
Find a fun mod that is fair and enjoyable, test it
when you are ready with your items/tc in mind for the prize, send me a line to global the tourney.
IE: Want to kick ass? /jo tldrtourney for prizes!
When the global is executed, people will fill the room fairly quick. When you have about enough people to fill up the screen, say "tourney is starting after next match"
after the next match, type /muteall and give a brief of the rules, prizes, etc.
Then wish everyone good luck and unmute.
After current match ends, type /knockout, set the motd and desc to "started"
Wait until the end!
other important info:
Make a prize for 1st(nothing below 7k) and 2nd(nothing below 5k).
