Edit: Especially as a leader... You can't just treat people like they meant nothing to you if you want people to stay in the clan.
It's not that we don't care, it's just we didn't know him well enough yet, all the people we know best are the ones we see the most, macho had great intentions but ultimately we weren't the clan for him and some people might feel that way from time to time and that's fine, we respect his decision to leave we aren't trying to force people to get along and fit in when they don't feel comfortable.
As for the lack of response, I assume people either didn't want to say the wrong thing or didn't know him well enough to actually give him a farewell.
