i would definitely recommend you listen to their first album (OWUWAYN) and Grow up and blow away, maybe fantasies as well, but, it's a little more poppish. the 2 most recent albums from metric really disappointed me though, which is a shame, but, hey, they had a good few years.
these live performances were in around 2003, when their first album 'old world underground, where are you now?' came out. two years before, metric had recorded 'grow up and blow away' which was a time when emily was addicted to cocaine, pretty depressed and to add onto that, their record label wouldn't let them release the album. during the OWUWAYN years emily was getting out her addiction and had nearly full recovered, so props to her
