I know when I get bored with playing ABD I tend to randomly lose against people, which has little to do with the mod or my skill.
the definition I used in my head when saying "better player" was the winning the match is the better player when speaking of lenshu. on paper it might be said that I'd be a better player than [insert player here] but the way the mod is set up and how it plays, if that player beats me then he was better than me. you might think the same goes for other mods, but using ABD in particular as an example, there are alternate strategies to win that do not necessarily make the winning player the better player.
as for talking about a pro vs average player, why don't we all just assume this is a pro player playing in his prime making no mistakes and an average player also making no mistakes. don't even try to factor in the player being fallible and the possibility of them making a mistake that costs them the game (speaking strictly only of mis-clicks, not messed up plays or decisions).
