i'd say if they wanted to save rock and roll, it would of been best for them to of continued with their old style, since alot of the charm was lost as well as the quality on the album, with multiple songs being very pop-like with some generic rappers intruding during the middle of them (including the worst lyric in the world 'sure, i'm a dick, girl - addicted to you').
when i listened to p!atd and fob, i felt that it was a boring album with some good moments, but alot of bad ones.
still the implementation of the music video storyline was kinda cool, and elton john making an appearance can't hurt.
