Even if the first post isn't stupid, that doesn't stop stupid people from participating. It's like cleaning a plate, only to have somebody shit on it. The people that post in Discussion are representative of the community. If the threads in Discussion are shit, it's because the community is shit. Short of making Discussion less representative (barring shit people from posting), there's not a whole lot that can be done about it. Or is there?
