Buying things is pretty on the norms too, I could understand Mortgages, Balancing check books, and things like that. But that should be an elective, because a lot of people have parents who teach their kids that.
And learning the Pythagorean theorem, Quadratic Formula, etc. Are? No, that shit is useless. The chances of someone getting a job and having to use those formulas are slim as hell. Maybe keeping it as an elective would be best, but Jesus. Not everyone knows how to do these things. Not everyone has the advantages. These should be tought in school. Mandatory or not.
