I feel that a matchmaking system needs to be implemented so that you can link up with someone of a similar rank to yours that is also looking for a match in the same mod that you are and fight each other. The server would kick both players out after the match is done and they will need to matchmake again to find another. And to lengthen the ranked battle you could treat it like clan wars and have a best out of three matches with one person. The players go their seperate ways one gaining the normal 2 elo points and the loser losing 2 elo points. This system can continue to use the current elo point system but in a more competitive style.

Also a monthly rank leaderboard is a must.
