In all seriousness. The idea of facing people with a similar rank to yours and your skill set would be the most logical way of dealing with the ranking system. Unless you enjoy watching new members get destroyed in tourneys and public servers. You have a filter and matchmake to find players that are matchmaking to find a game in the same mod as you. You play best out of 3 games. winner gets bonus elo at the end the loser just loses the elo that they would have normally if they lost 2 matches. I don't know about you guys but, matchmaking would prevent players that aren't skilled from reaching the higher ranks and it would be a more fair competition between players. The tourneys can still be up during this, for all the people trying to make money and having matchmaking available to all those that wouldn't like to wait 15 minutes to play a single match. I brought this up before and even made some concept art. Also if anyone rage quits the game can just ban them for 12 hours or so with an infraction. They ping from the game (whether legitimate or forced) they recieve an infraction point. Not to mention, if they execute the try to reconnect thing where if you ping it will automatically reconnect you, it could stop f-pinger's in their tracks.
