But the contrast inbetween studio and live is deliberate. They're two different things, with different obligations, and I've always wanted them to be two different exercises !
In "studio" we have all the time in the world, we can add dozens of instruments or hundred of voices if we feel like it, it's like a construction game with music, you can experience stuff, try and try again until you're "satisfied". It's like a painting people can listen at home.
Playing live is a very different context, we have a limited amount of time to please a public that's not necessarily here for you/us. And I personally am rather disappointed when a band I like sounds exactly like the studio versions, there's no point seeing them live at all. So in live, we're just 4, and we get to show our bare tracks through a way more brutal and dirty aspect, and it's rather nice 
We wish we were new daily after all ;p
