I haven`t watched neon Genesis becuse First of all I hate mecas and From what I know about the anime it isn`t very intresting to me.
Some mechas are awesome though dude. Sidonia no Kishi and Code Geass for example, shirogane argevollen as well. I used to hate em too but once you see good ones then you like it.

FiddleJr I would recommend that if you have not seen full metal alchemist yet that you are missing out, its really good.
Its confusing at the start but it soon enough will really hook you in.
