You don't have to wait a day. It is just disrespectful to go clan hopping.
You pretty much implied Vanquish is your back-up clan by applying shortly after, applying to bomb. Instead of applying for all the Bigger clans, Look around, find a group you are comfortable with.

If you Believe that is Vanquish, I'd try again in a week or so.
