Ah. With turning and front kicks, you shouldn't have your toes pointing up. IRL, you wouldn't want to hit somebody with your toes. that's essentially violently stubbing your toes on your opponent. If you were to kick straight, like a side or back kick, then you would want the bottom of your foot facing your target
