One of the biggest positives is the fact that people can insight on another persons culture. In a politic/propaganda free environment, you can actually learn what it is like to live in certain countries. I.E our Indian players have told me, their country is not as bad as the news makes it seem.

Most definitely. As I stated above, a political/propaganda free conversation will give you an actual perspective on life elsewhere. If you want to culture yourself, look no further than the internet.

I wouldn't necessarily say it has. I think it has really opened my eyes on things I was already aware of. But I see no real benefit from being exposed to other countries. But I would have to pick a minor one, I'd say I'm a far more cultured person than I was. I'm now aware of food groups other than maple syrup and bacon.
