PSU: Ok good.

CPU - MOBO: Yeah AMD's do tend to get hotter than Intel's CPUs but if anyone really wanted to go AMD all they would need is an adequate cooler. As far as what Intel I'd recommend that depends on multiple factors, how demanding the games you'll be playing are, how heavy the editing you'll be is, if you plan on doing any other heavy CPU taxing tasks.

GPU: The GTX 970 will probably play most games you want at good settings for quite a while. Even while recording.

Yes Mongius does post here a lot.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jtRB23 It's very likely that you don't need an i7 for what you'll be using your build for but I can't say for sure until I know exactly to what extent you'll be taxing the CPU with what tasks you'll be doing. I'm also pretty sure you don't need a 100$ cooler. Just because it's the best, doesn't mean you need it. Otherwise go buy a Ferrari because it's the best. And I still can't tell if you need as much as 16GB of RAM. Probably not but again I have to know how heavy your tasks will be to a specific extent. That 970 I like the cooling on but as far as personal preference goes I prefer EVGA. Nothing wrong with MSI GPUs though. And I love their motherboards. Fractal Case well known and the price isn't too much. It's fine I guess just check to make sure it will serve for everything you need. The PSU yeah that's nice but a 500B will do perfecty fine with your build and will last you. HDD you don't need to spend $73.89 on especially for just 1TB of Storage. Anything from 40-50$ will do. Seagate Barracuda, WD Caviar Blue or even Toshiba. Performance of that motherboard will probably be good and it'll probably last you and the chipset allows for overclocking. Could've shaved off 20$ off the price but nothing too major as far as price goes. Any further questions?
