Everyone I know from my state (Pennsylvania) calls it "soda". For some reason "pop" just sounds weird to me.

Anyways Ginger Ale and Root Beer are pretty good sodas (doesn't matter what brand, this includes off brands), though I'll pretty much drink anything.
