Well you have a valid point there, I saw that ele made a good point against it as well, but let me add this to it.

Not every hacker is educated in what they are doing, most are just kids that learned the bare minimum and don't know how to do much with it. So lets look at it like this. Lets say we have 100 hackers in the community, 10 of those hackers are advanced in their craft, while the other 90 can be amounted to someone knowing just a small party trick compared to the other's skills. Adding this second layer of protection could stop the 90 of them in their tracks and then the only ones left to worry about are those 10 people. This addition might not stop the issue completely, but it sure as hell would lower the amount of people able to cause the problem.
