I wouldn't necessarily solo yourself out, if you show increment improvement on your behavior and attitude and suit the spot then you could make it, as of having a bad record is not the best thing when applying for staff it still doesn't eliminate you right off the bat, I'd try and see what happens, doesn't hurt to apply
