Even there, you could post on a thread saying "all players not listed below have been rejected" and list the few players that are in discussion and such. But I do understand that private messaging every player that sent an application would be time consuming.
If you think about it logically, if you are not on the accepted list, you are probably rejected.
When it comes to recruitment drives though, you will know by the last wave. The ES likes to keep people guessing if they're accepted or not, it makes for a great test of personality imo.
