As far as I'm aware after effects doesn't have any bugs while rendering so try using that, I think it's better anyways
After Effects CC 2014 is what I use

OBS/OBS Studio has customization to record, try messing with settings in there to get good framerate,maybe try shadowplay if you have a nvidia gpu.

Or you can do what tyzi did, record fraps with like 1 fps and speed it up in ae/sv so you get 60fps 100% of the time

or just upgrade your pc
