the only way to identify a muslim is to ask "hey are you a muslim" and you can only go off what they say. That said, I don't actually support a closed borders policy in this case. The fearmongering from the right is just that - fearmongering. We should be supporting groups like the kurds on the ground in the middle east as to allow the natives of the middle east reclaim their homes for themselves, but we don't need to be on the ground and we don't need such a misleading, ineffective, and bigoted ban.
