we aren't promoting more posts over better posts, quality posters will still post even if other people don't have posts as elaborate. If people see one really short post, they won't magically become inspired to make dozens of really short posts themselves, especially in a part of the community that is powered by people's love for the game. essay writers will remain essay writers (unless we explicitly forbid them).

and post that on every single replay thread. Most of the posts on the replay thread are equivalent to clicking a like button, which is fine because it's encouraging to replay makers but post farming would be so easy to do there has to be a better option to it. I agree that people shouldn't have to go make 100 word replay posts but some type of standard to the posts would help right now the only posts that get deleted seem to be the ones that are 2 words long.
this isn't related to the quality of the board, it's related to the fact that a lot of replays are really similar (ukebashing replays in particular almost always have the opener, the bashing part and then a pose).
Re: post farming, Moderation's job is to prevent bad posts from showing up, not to prevent someone from posting a lot. One is generally associated with the other but they are not symbiotic.
